Mother's day was like no other this year....
We spent the night at the trailer, yes with no heat and no hydro.....Shhh don't tell the neighbour that we ran an extention cord over. haha. Gloria knew we love her! We needed some quiet time. We love Scott and Colleen but it is just time to get home! It has been six weeks since the fire and we just need to be home.
Soon just waiting for Hydro then they can bring propane. next week... pray next week.
mother's day was good. We have all been so busy that we kind have forgotten about it. i got my mom a gift a couple of weeks ago when I saw it. Darin's Mom we got her a photo box filled with flowers.
We went to Walmart last night and Dalton was so upset that he only had the stuff that he make for me at school, that he wanted to buy me something. I made the mistake of commenting on the flowers. He asked me for his wallet so he could see how much money he had. i told he he wasn't to spend his money on a gift. So we spent Daddy's. He didn't want me to see what he had picked but since he is just seven uhhhh no getting away with that. I told him i was happy with what he brought home but that wasn't good enough he wanted to buy something. So he was happy.
We went to church with Ken and Ethel and then out to Mcdonalds for lunch then home to get at the yard. it is a disaster area because of the mess from the house. It was a great mother's day though no matter. We got carnations at church. mark is away on holiday. With losing his Mom and wife, both this past year, I'm sure that today is a hard day and my thoughts and prayers are with him.
So I hope you all had a great day and that the weather soon warms up. Hope that hydro comes soon!
HAPPY MOTHER"S DAY!

So it is time.....
I am finally at a place now that things are starting to come together that I feel I need to tell everyone who has helped us how important they are to us. There is nothing like putting your entire life into a dumpster that brings you to that place!
So last Wednesday they brought us a trailer to live in. One draw back it is really cold and we have no hydro yet. They hooked it all to the trailer but hydro one has to come and hook it to the panel in the garage. And if you know anything about how they work they come whenever they feel like it! Not a moment sooner! We have water because they hooked us the plumbing ...so just the hydro!
So hopefully we will be home soon!
Don't get me wrong. We have been staying with Colleen and Scott and they are great but there will be nothing like just being at home..whatever that is and just being able to relax. I am tired of being tired and stressed and just tired of being at my kids. We don't have to be at the kids, Scott and Colleen love them because they are who they are but I know deep down they too will be a bit happy to see us go. It's hard having kids around all the time when yours have been gone for years. I just have this need to make them behave better because we are at their house.
So on to my thank you's !!!!
Scott and Colleen of course for putting up with all of us and putting your life on hold while ours is in total chaos! For watching the kids and keeping their lives as "normal" as we can. For just plain loving us!
My Mom & Dad. For helping with the kids, for loving us! For giving up their house for donations and stuff! The babysitting, the laundry, the time to wash the favorite blankets and see if you could save them.I can't name all the things. Making the little things matter just as much as the big!
Just for being my Mom and Dad. I love you and can never thank you enough.
My brother and Sister in law. Thank you for making sure that the kids had Pj's to wear to bed the first night! That Dalton had clothes for school the next day. And just taking the time to make sure that we knew you were there if we needed it! I can't thank you enough for that. My kids thank you too!
Tracy and Kevin. The neighbours. They have had our dog since the very first day. I am hoping since we got stairs today that the dog can come home to the trailer tomorrow. He should be OK if it is a little cold. Won't be long we will hopefully be home with him!
For making sure we had pj's that night, supper in our bellies and for the phone usage, the hydro for our freezer and for the toothbrushes! I don't know what we would have done that first night. You were thinking when I was so upset. I love you and am glad that I have a friend like you. I hope that someday I can return half the favour!
Angie. I don't know what to say. My secretary for the first few days. My salvation for a few. My friend. I love you too! Enough said!
Darin's Mom for making sure Tyson had his favorite John Deere blanket back since his burnt up. And helping get stuff picked up around the house. For being my Alli!
And others, Burnard and Shirley Foley, Aunt Ruth, Aunt Leona, Aunt Pat and Uncle Don, Ethel & Ken White, Bridget and Don, Amber, Buck and Shirley Foley, Troy Foley and his girlfriend. Friends of mine from work, Sherri Wells, Cindy Wells, Kelli Akey, Donna McKeown.
Special people of Belleville Westlyn Church who generously donated to our family and gave us the love of the church. Pastor Mark who was right in there with us getting dirty helping out those first few days after the fire. Bringing the kids treats and hats. Your a special guy Mark. There is a reason you do what you do.
Carolyn Kelly and her family. For building Dalton up so high that he has the confidence to do anything. For acknowledging kindness and doing the same.
There are so many people that I am sure I have forgotten but you'll get added later or a thank you special to just you in the mail.
We cannot thank everybody enough and all of your kindness is overwhelming.
With that said!!!

We love you all.......Diana, Darin, Dalton and Tyson

the fire......what's left that is.....
I'll use red because it seems so fitting....Here are some pictures of what it left. It doesn't bother me anymore, not much I can do about it anyway. Things are starting to happen with the insurance company but I will fill you in as we go!
So the fire started in the kitchen in the wiring attached to the light which was just below my bedroom.
This is what is left of Tyson's bed.
This is Darin's dresser.
This is looking out our closet to the outside. I must tell you though before the fire that hole in the roof wasn't there!
This is Dalton's bedroom. The walls are white I might add!
My bedroom.
A view from the side where it got up into the rafters.
My kitchen ceiling.
And finally when you stand at my kitchen door looking where a ceiling once was but is now gone, so you can see straight upstairs.
I'll update more tommorrow.

House fire.....
For those of you who don't know... we had a house fire on the 9th. We were all home and everyone was and is fine. We lost pretty much everything, the smoke overcame the house and wrecked everything. We are waiting for the insurance company who seems to work at a snails pace.We have inventoried the house, you learn so much about what your not going to do again. For example... collect stuff. You never really know how much you have until your loading it into a dumpster. Not to mention to see your house burn up and loose everything you have at the same time. Everything you have had since you started your life as a adult. Gone. Hardest part is the kids loosing everything , they will never understand. Tyson asks every night to go home and go to bed with Mommy. Now he says the house is "broken"!
We are staying with friends, for now. Scott and Colleen. The boys godparents. They have been great to us! I will update and add pictures as soon as I have consistant assess to a computer. Thanks for everyone's concerns, love and prayers.

Beautiful Weekend...
Well... I must say it was a wonderful weekend here in ontario! There is nothing better than getting outside in the fresh air and going for a walk or in my case chase Tyson! Especially out of the mud puddles!
Saturday was lovely we ended up out on a drive all the way to Buckhorn whick is about 2 or so hours from our house. Some drive. Along the way we went to the cheese factory for some curd, to the chocolate factory for some chocolate then after we got home we finished out the night at Denny's for supper.
After that we headed home. Frank our next door neighbour was having his 50th birthday. We went over to the party until about 12am then Tyson and I headed home I'm not sure when Dalton and Darin headed home. We had fun the kids all played and the grownups played cards. Some drank, we didn't.
Sunday was even nicer. Dalton and I cleaned out the van and after that we brought Tyson out to play on his tractor. He loved it. We didn't stay out long with him though after the week with the ear infection, we didn't want to make it any worse.
That was our weekend what did you do??

Boring week....and muddy!
Not much to post this week. Kiddies are sick with a cold. Snow is starting to melt and Dalton manages to find every mudpuddle in the country no matter how small it is! And manages to bring just about as much mud in with him as he leaves outside!
Tyson just hates taking any kind of medication no matter how sweet it is or how I bribe him. He has had a bad fever and a cough. Worst part about his cough is once he starts he doesn't stop until he vomits. So I have been chasing him around with the bucket all week.
Now I start my midnights for four nights. I hate them! But we all have to do our share. At least I have some sewing to do to keep me busy for the next few. Then I suppose I am delegated to clean something.
Dalton has been invited to his friend Sydney's birthday party on Sunday at the bowling ally. I love Sid she is a very polite and very cute little girl. They have been friends since JK. She has come to all Dalton's party's and once was actually the only girl there. So we went out on Thursday night after karate and got her present. He picked out a little journal with Teddy Bears that had some pencil's and eraser, a little jeweled bracelet, a maricopia fairy barbie and a maricopia fairy barbie book. He is hoping the Sydney loves it as much as he has liked all her gifts. I don't doubt for a moment she will. It was funny watching him pick out a girl's gift. He doesn't even like going into the girl's section at the toy store! But he faced the challenge like a trooper and actually liked some of the stuff in there. I got a laugh watching him think so hard about what he wanted to get her. Oh when he dates it will be fun!
Well have a great weekend. We don't have much planned Dalton has Nan's and the party but we might take in the home show ...Dunno yet!
Have fun maybe we might even see some nice weather!
