Holy Moly what a time he had......

Yesterday I had to run to Wally world to get a few things and when I came back I found that Tyson had made a fort out of his highchair (it turns into a table and desk too) climbing in and out and over. So I got out the blow up toy that Bev & Ang got Tyson last year for Christmas. He loved it. As you can see by the pics. He had a ball on that thing all day long. And the balls were everywhere. Dalton wanted to have a go so even though he is too big we let him have one try.

We were going to save it until next summer when he could have it in the basement of the new house but whatever. We might just as well loose the rest of the living room in toys. it seems that I continue to pack toys but the pile continues to grow. Damn Christmas!!! LOL.

Darin has been across the road the last few days flooding the rink that he made for Dalton. It has been so cold Brrrrr...He wants to make sure that it is good and going before he has his hernia fixed next week. Dalton is so excited about it! He can't wait until he can go skate on it.

Tomorrow he has a birthday party at his friend Travis's house. He is looking forward to that. All the boys in his class are going to be there. Nick included.

Dalton has been having spelling tests every Friday now in Grade one since the new year and so far he has gotten 9/8 every time. He gets the bonus word. Did you hear that Nan??? WooHoo!!

Darin is fixing a friends daughter's car today (Amanda) what a cold day good thing his garage has heat. He would freeze his fanny off.

I have been trying to get into my Mom's all week but Tyson has been so sick that I wouldn't think about taking him near my Dad. There is cheese cake waiting for me there that Bridget made last week for Mom's birthday. I had better get there to get it I made such a fuss about it at Christmas! He is better today so maybe we will have them out for supper, maybe Saturday.

Well stay warm ... until next post....

Favorite toy......

Dalton and Tyson are five years apart but so much the same. Don't get me wrong in so many ways they are not alike.

TYSON....

very....very busy....

always laughing.....

always happy except when he is sick or dirty...

very fussy with food....

a joker, full of tom foolery...

hates having his picture taken...

loves going outside...anytime of year...

stubborn...

rarely makes strange with people..

dancing and happy....

seemingly thinks he is a centerpiece for my dining room table...

does not get the word NO!

can't hurt him.. high pain tolerance

hates to sleep.. but likes his bedtime... say "night, night" he heads for bed.

DALTON ( now and when he was small)

active but likes his TV...

generally happy but not always..

likes most things but will at least try it.. when he was small he ate anything..

likes to play and have fun... thinks pranks are great..

loves having his picture taken and posted here for Nan to see and tell him about..

loves to be outside as long as he has something to do or someone to play with... not to ambitious when it comes to playing alone..

stubborn...

gets along with everybody and never made strange..

happy and loves music..when he was small he loved to dance and could find him Nan and Jesse dancing to anything that remotely sounded like music..even if Nan made her own..

was never much of a climber..

learned the word NO very quickly.. mostly because he didn't like the consequence..to his brother it doesn't matter..

again can't hurt him you hurt his feeling worse....

always has hated bedtime... but loves to sleep.

The thing they have in common the most is how loving they are. How much joy they bring us and the toys they play with. The little dog that Tyson is pulling around here Auntie Tracey and Uncle Ed got for Dalton on his first birthday. Yes, I remember who gave him what and when. Darin says it is very strange but I can tell you every toy/present he ever got and who gave it to him. Tyson loves to drag that squeaking thing around all the time. The other fave they have is the push popcorn popper. Nan and Poppa got Tyson the bike last yer for Christmas but he loves that little push one better. And they love trucks. Monster trucks, dump trucks, any kind of trucks. I blame that on Daddy. ( He drives truck) Dalton used to call where Darin worked truck world because there was always so many trucks in once yard.

So different but so alike.. that is what makes them special.

Johnathan's turning 14!!

OK. So today is Johnathan's birthday and he is turning 14! I posted pictures from Christmas at Bev & Angie's house but as John noted there was no picture of him! So This post is just for you John!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HANDSOME!
John came out and stayed with Darin while I had to go to work for a little while. He was a good help with the boys and he got in a little nap. Dalton loves when he comes and just adores him. Like a lost puppy when he is here. He is a good young man and Angie & Bev should be proud.
Have a great birthday John. Enjoy your burritos and pumpkin pie...(YUK) but if that's whatcha want good for you. We love you!

Who's that jail bird??

Nanny and Poppa watched Tyson today while Dalton went to school and I went with Darin to have his nose operation ( all is well he made out fine and will be home on Sat Am). Mom said that he was trying to put this outfit on all day. Now that I look at it it seems rather fitting for my boy! I thought it was too cute!!
Like I said Darin made out fine, the waiting for a cigarette killed him more than the surgery. He hates the packing in his nose but he will have it out soon enough. I rushed home from the hospital because the neighbour Tracy (Greatest neighbour ever) ( actually I have two great neighbours) put and took Dalton off the bus today for me. THANKS TRAC!! To call Darin's Mom, and others. And to pick Darin up a few things for the night. Then to Mickey D's, Mom's for Tyson and back up to the hospital so Darin could see the kids for a quick sec.
Then back home to get them in bed. What a night. Oh well. Made up for the very long day waiting. So off to get Darin is the morning and Grandma Martin is coming down in the afternoon. To tell us about her trip!
So until tommorrow when I can actually breathe before I head out to work have a great night all!!
THANKS AGAIN...NANNY, POPPA, UNCLE ED, AND TRACY!!!
WHAT WOULD WE EVER DO WITHOUT YOU!

Happy Birthday Nanny!!

Well today is my Mom's birthday. I won't tell you how old she is but she is only as old as we rub it in... hahaha. Anyway Dalton got up early on Tuesday and made her a carrot cake (bad Mommy forgot to take a picture) so we could take it over after the dentist visit. She was surprised I think. We couldn't go today because I was on 3-11pm this week. So we had it a couple of days early. He almost missed the bus making that cake . Hope you enjoyed it Mom!
Other than that Darin has his surgery tomorrow on his nose and hopefully all goes well. i have a couple of cuties of Tyson I will post once I get a chance this weekend!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAN!!! WE LOVE YOU!!

Let it snow...Let it snow...Let it snow...

Well today it did. Dalton was so happy that his bus was cancelled. We can see the school from our house, but he must ride the bus because we have no sidewalks in the village where I live. that and the school requires that kids below grade 6 be bused to school. I have no problem with it. We have the greatest bus driver ever. Dalton really likes Ada and she says that he is always the happy unpredictable one. He always makes her laugh. Even though it is a 2 minute bus ride.

He could have went to school but I figured that if I didn't go to work he shouldn't have to go to school. Only fair. So we went outside and played for a bit today. Good fresh air gets rid of all the germs. Tyson wasn't sure of what to think of the snow so it was a new experience. He liked being pulled on the baby sleigh. not so sure about the big toboggan though. Darin got out the 4 wheeler later in the afternoon and pulled the boys around for a bit. Not Tyson he was sleeping. Dalton and his friend Austin. Darin goes slow but when he turns around corners they slide and they think that is pretty cool.

Once we get more snow Darin will built Dalton a big hill out back on the mud pile (lol still have my sense of humour). That is what Dalton can't wait for and get out his GT Racer.

The only safe place for him... or just getting use to the bars...hmmmm

After the whole "backyard endeavour" Tyson's godparents came over. Darin had to fix Scott's truck. Then Coleen's car (actually Les's they traded temporarily). It was running like crap and Scott's truck needed brakes. They went driving it home from Myrtle beach if you can imagine. They managed though. Bev is away so Ang came out and milked supper out of us too (lol Ang). Nothing special homemade broccoli cheese soup and macaroni casserole as Scott called it.

Anyway, we were playing cards and Tyson decided to get in King's cage. We have a purebred German Shepherd ( big dog). So we just had to take a picture... after the last few weeks that the boy has had well I need not say anymore. Funny part about it is that he didn't seem to mind being in there at all. I don't know if his aspiration for bigger things or not. LOL.... let's hope not!

I got some really nice pictures of Tyson and Colleen playing cards but she said I cannot post her picture, so I cropped her out of this one. You can almost see it in Tyson's eye... hmmm I wonder where I can shove this washcloth!
Anyway.. gotta get busy buses cancelled today due to snow and freezing rain. Dalton is happy means an extra day off school! He could go since we can see the school from the house but since all the kids are bussed it usually means there are only a couple of kids in the entire school. He'd rather be home with me and Tyson instead. He is missing his party at karate but then again they have postponed it since Christmas so what is one more week??
