The Final Hoorah!

Tonight we went to Bev & Angela's house for the final Hoorah for Christmas. Johnathan just got home Saturday and so we couldn't have the day without him. So we went in for a nice supper. (Good since Angie cooked.... note the sarcasm...lol) No, it was good. We almost hated kicking her out of bed to cook it. And the kids got to get their presents.

John just got money which is normal for most teenage kiddies. That way he can get whatever he wanted or just have some money in his pocket. Either way no matter. His birthday is in a couple of weeks so I think Darin wanted to get him a movie card. That way he would have a night out with money and a free movie pass.

Dalton got an i-pup. He only asked Bev & Angie for it. Not really sure why but he did. On the way home he said " I knew Auntie Bev would get me an i-dog", I in return said "How did you know?". And he said "Cause I'm her boy". And got that cute little wink and thumbs up look in his eye. As he squinted up his face.

He also got a collectible monster truck from Kellogg's. Fruit Loops to be exact. He put it in his cabinet when he got home. We didn't get home until 8:30pm or so and he was upset because he wouldn't be able to play with his pup. So I encouraged him to get ready for bed and we'd see what happened. Well he never got ready so fast in his life. He couldn't wait to see the pup dance to music. So I let him stay up until 9pm. He laid up there listening to the All American Rejects ( Move Along) and KT Tinstall( Black Horse and a Cherry Tree). Those are his favorites for this week. Usually it's Paul Brant (Convoy) and Rascal Flatts ( Life is a highway). over and Over we listen to them.

Tyson lit up when he saw the present, he knew exactly what to do and needed no encouragement today to get her done. He got a little musical phone that plays diddies.. and songs and the alphabet and stuff. Phones are his favorite thing to play with. He is his Daddies boy. It's actually really cool this screen on it lights up with letters and numbers and when music plays it makes all kinds of shapes and faces. Neat.

Well today has been a long day. Tyson was up until 3:30am, and today Dalton went on a field trip to the sports center skating with the 1-2-3's from his school. He had a great time he always does when he goes skating with his class. That little Keaton is quite a skater. And well Nick we laughed because he would just get going and then slide himself down onto the ice.

Adults.. we spend our time skating trying not to fall....Kids... see how fast they can get going so they can fall down and slide. At what point did we grow up? lol. We had fun and Tyson went with Nanny, had a visit and some lunch. Gotta love nan Dalton said.

Here you go Nan!!

The orange haired wonder. In his stocking from Nan & Poppa this year Dalton got some orange hairspray. He loves it. Orange is his favorite color. Yesterday morning he wanted it on his head. Last night the tub water was orange but that was ok. Talk about ring around the tub.
He said that I need to paint his hair for karate. Orange belt, orange hair. Thing is he'll have orange sweat too running down his head by the time he is done too! He came home from school telling me that all his friends thought it was pretty cool. His Dad said he looked weird. But that's my boy. Fits right in with the rest of the family. And ya know what if he wants orange hair... well... hmm let him have it. He could be doing/wanting worse things. I can say that now he isn't a teenager yet!
On a different subject though. I hope Darin's Mom is enjoying the Dominican. She left a few days ago. I'm sure that without a doubt she is. Darin's Dad passed about a year and a half ago and Mom has tried lots of new stuff since. Good for her. And this is something she has decided to do. I'm sure with Wilma and her sister a great time will be had by all. (Lucky woman). First trip out of the country she has ever had. KUDOS TOO YOU MOM!! Hope your having a great time!

My Weekend Project....

Well I spend my weekend busy as ever. Imagine.. with Tyson feeling better, working nights, Jesse's birthday and having two projects to finish. I managed to get one done.
It is a baby quilt, pillow, diaper storage bag, curtain, and dresser duster. All for a little girl obviously. It is only the second baby quilt I have made but I didn't think that it turned out too bad. Actually I kinda liked it.
maybe I will attempt to make a large one one day but until the kids get a little bigger I think the small ones will do. Stick to what I do best.
I'm not sure what that is tole painting, scrap booking, sewing.... hmmm. I dunno. Maybe none. If I was good enough maybe I could make a career out of it and not work!! HAHAHA!
Now on to finish my last project for my sister in law.

The shirt says it all!!!

Well...he is feeling better but his butt is still sore and I'm sure will take a few days to clear up. But he is eating again. And managing to keep it down. Good thing because I work nights tonight (Friday) and Darin can't handle it when he gets sick never mind the kids. You can see it in his eyes still. He is actually asking to go to bed. He isn't sleeping just laying there resting. That's OK though. Once he is better 100% I'm sure he'll be all rested and ready to terrorize!
He got this outfit for Christmas! I thought how fitting (when he is feeling better of course). It says.... " I'm having a monster Moment". He has lost weight because everything is falling off him. Now for a few days he'll want to eat! Good stuff!
Dalton is sad the holidays are over but happy because tomorrow is Jesse's birthday party and he is staying overnight!
HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY JESSE!

New Skates make the man....

Here he is we got to go skating after all. We called up Nick and away we went. It was at the Wally Dever arena, and there were a lot of kids. Some not so nice either. The bigger one of course. So he skated around the entire rink about eight times and then needed a break.
He loves his new skates. I got a great deal. Brand new CCM's for 17.00 liquidation world in September! His from last year were too small. So home I came with a pair. He was excited to wear them. The weather has been so crappy that we haven't been able to go down to the Goodfellows back yard, they have a pond we skate on.
Tyson is still sick his poor little butt is like an ass on fire. I have used a bag of diapers and a tub of cream in three days. I feel bad for him he doesn't understand and he wants to eat and then continues to get sick. He napped while we went skating so Dalton didn't miss out! Hopefully he gets over it by the weekend... and nobody else here gets it!

New Year's Day 2007!!

Well New Years Day went off without a hitch. I worked New Years Eve nights ( of course) and came into work finding that one of the individuals that I assist has the flu.. Lucky me. And so I spent most of my night cleaning up well you can imagine. Needless to say now you know why I have been so tardy with the blog.

We went to Mom & Dad's New Years day. I got to sleep most of the day. The boys went 4 wheeling once Tyson had a nap and I got to sleep all morning before that. I was unusually exhausted for some reason. Little did I know I was getting sick! Well we had supper and the kids were full of it as always. And getting a picture of them was as painful as always. As you can see above Jesse was as impressed as always. Leah being a smart ass and didn't think that I would publish this picture. ( There you go Leah!) Don and Bridget came too. That was nice I think that it is great that they live much closer now and Mom and Dad can spend more time with them. ( They lived in Oshawa before this summer and Mom and Dad only got to spend time with them at the trailer).

So after we came home and I got the kids ready for bed and Darin and I went too! At 9pm! What is that??? Well I found out once I got up the next morning. Sick...Ohhhh was I sick! All day I didn't know what end to put in the toilet! Still the friends toilet! Have to make sure it is well disinfected before we take it back ! (hahaha) Returning a toilet ever heard such a thing?

Around 5pm the little man walked up to me and well guess what.. projectile right across the room. Oh nasty. So I picked him up and ran for the tub. He got rid of the rest of it there. Really what I needed myself sick. So out I am with the carpet cleaner, cleaning up this mess. Darin couldn't I know him. He can barely change a shitty ass without puking! he has finally managed though!

So then I bathed him and gave him some pedilyte and put him to bed. I think he just laid there all night and rested. I don't think he ever really slept. I was changing his sheets and butt it seemed every half hour or so. So today is now Thursday and he is still sick. Two days.

His poor little butt is fire red with diaper rash and I change him so much and have used a whole tube of rash cream that I don't think that P&G needs to sell to anyone else this week! And he just doesn't want to eat now. Yesterday he refused and I didn't push and today he ate but it all came back up again. So we'll see what Friday brings! Hopefully he is feeling better!

Dalton wants to go skating today with Nick and Jesse we will see what this afternoon brings! In my world just less vomit and diarrhea at this point would be good. Luckily so far though Dalton and Darin haven't got it and hopefully they don't!
So Happy New Year to all! Hopefully the new year bring new life, new experiences, and new challenges to all.

Perfect Attendance...

Dalton went to Sunday school on the 31st, to find that he had perfect attendance for December. With that he gets a small gift. Nice thought but he really didn't need it! Anyway he couldn't have been more excited. He really enjoys Sunday school. He couldn't wait to get home and race with Dad.
On another note sorry for my tardiness I will explain in the next blog!
Congratulations Dalton!!
