Off to Sharbot lake

Traditionally we go to Sharbot Lake to Terry and Stephanie Goodfellows cottage on the long weekend in August. This year being the same we had nothing to keep us home to do. and why stop doing the things that we normally do.
Through this entire process we have tried to keep the kids lives as normal as possible. We no longer know what normal is though.
Regardless they had a great time. As always. Darin thought he would try to hook the tube up to his boat and try out the motor.
It appeared to have enough power to pull Dalton so Dalton was bugging him all weekend to take him out. So they spent some time doing that. Most of the time, as always though the kids were in the water. The weather has been so screwy this year that I didn't find the lake to be as warm as it has been in the past.
Tyson loves Terry and Steph. He has a great time back there. He plays on their ginormous deck and loves the lake. The bigger boys are allowed to play around the dock and near it with no grown ups but they must wear life jackets and of course we can see them from the deck. But Tyson thought he should be out there too. Too small for that yet. So he was a little disappointed!
This is where Tyson spend most of his time right around these rocks swimming and moving the sand. He found a leech which he didn't like too much but we got it before it managed to totally freak him out.
He just played and would stay there all day if we left him. He loved it! Can you tell?
Dalton doing his usual pose for the camera.
On Sunday a friend of Terry and Darin came back with his tractor to remove some large stones out from under the cottage for them. He brought his tractor. Yes, I said tractor! You can imagine Tyson's excitement. See how happy he was!! But he did notice it wasn't a john deer but played on it all the same!
Thanks for the great weekend as always Goodfellows!!

A day of fun!

This is Todd. Remember a few weeks back I told you about him getting engaged. Well this is him. Sorry ladies. He's Steph's now!
Anyway, on Saturday, we went to Crowe river in Marmora four wheeling. Todd, Darin, the boys, myself and Darin's Mom. We had a ton of fun. We rode up, had a picnic and a swim, the boys fished a little, and it rained again. After that we rode into Marmora and had an icecream come and rode back home. We had a really good day.
Tyson munching on some lunch...Then munching on some of Grandma's lunch...
Then he caught a fish!!
Or should I say he caught some bait! Big one eh??
Then he and Todd thought they should splash each other a bit. I'm not sure who won that battle by the end of the day. I think Todd will be a good Dad once he and Steph start their family.
Dalton wanted me to take a picture of his dirty face. He started out on my bike behind me but spent the rest of the day riding on the back of Todd's bike because he has the seat.
Tyson and Grandma wandering around waiting...that is before Tyson found the water and sat down right in the middle of the pond!! Todd watching Tyson play and Dalton ride around. Generally, we all just visited while they played.
Dalton was riding around on my bike..
We had a great day. Thanks Grandma and Todd. We'll have to do it again when Stephanie has the weekend off. We missed her!

Finally Warm Weather!

Finally, some nice warm weather so we could actually get into the pool at a reasonable temperature! Johnathan was playing with Tyson in the pool here. Making motor boat sounds and running him around the pool. He loved it and had tons of fun with him. Johnathan is staying with us for most of the summer to babysit the two boys. They are both growing quite attached to him.
Tyson comes out of his bedroom every morning and keeps saying...."Johnny, Johnny, Johnny" and runs around looking for him. Even though he might not be there. He was quite a bad boy the first few days John was here watching them. But now that he is more used to him he has been much better. it has been nice just being able to leave home and go straight to work instead of having to pack up the kids and their stuff and go to the babysitters first. I could get used to it!
So we actually got in the pool the kids had a great time and it cooled them off. I didn't put Tyson's headband on be we were ever so careful not to get his ears under the water.
Dalton has become quite the little swimmer too. He doesn't seem to mind the temperature no matter what it is. Brr not this girl. I love my pool but not under 72*.
He also loves the slide. He gets in and out all day long.
I hope the warm weather stays and we get to enjoy the pool more this summer!

Kitten engineer!!

Well we have an engineer kitten. Tyson was playing with the animal train tonight and the cat was chasing it so they put him in it! Silly cat rode around the whole living room just looking around!

I am still so sick. I didn't do anything today other than what I had to. Darin left this morning, he had promised to help a friend. I couldn't even drag myself to the bathroom to get sick. Dalton said that if I died he'd miss me. Tyson slept in and then played with his big brother before having another nap!
Yay baby! Darin got home at 2:30pm. I was dead. Dalton had a friend over to play. Travis, I couldn't tell him not to come because both boys were so looking forward to it. I just asked them to stay outside.

Once Darin got home he took them swimming until Travis's Mom came to get him.I was too sick to take any pictures.

So in a nutshell that's it. I am heading back to the couch. As you can see not much is getting done on my to do list!
