Baking....Baking......

So this morning I go up with Darin as I do everyday and got him off to work but instead of going back to bed I got busy and made up some banana bread before going to Mom's after Dalton goes to school to bake the rest of the goodies.

This banana bread was one for our house but as you can see by the time supper came it was almost gone and it was the three boys that had devoured it!

So today we made 8 dozen butter tarts, about 15 pies shells and out of that 11 were pies, and 12 banana breads. The church got for their sale, 2 dozen tarts, 6 small pies, and 6 banana bread. Aunt Ruth got a lemon meringue pie, and a banana bread. Mom & I each got a banana bread and 2 1/2 dozen tarts and an apple pie. Jesse my nephew got a small lemon pie. Dad got a small apple pie and and a big lemon pie. I would have posted more pictures but I didn't want to make everyone hungry.
Mom and I always find it funny that nobody likes the baked goods around but they never seem to last very long. The neighbours come and steal the tarts, at mom's there seems to be this mysterious little fairy that eats it all. So I dunno I guess we aren't too bad a cooks.
I guess by our pictures you can tell that we at least like our own cooking. Darin I might mention was a lot skinnier when I met him!

Mother's Day....

Happy Mother's Day everyone! Whether you're a mother or not I'm sure that you have assisted someone sometime as a mother has... Well, I had a great day. I got home from work this morning and my family asked me to make them breakfast. They forgot until I said happy mother's day as I served each of them a plate!
I guess since they gave me my card, scratch tickets and kit kat bar on Friday they figured that they could forget about it.
Dalton was so upset with himself. He ran upstairs and got his present that he made at school for me that he had hidden under his bed on Friday when he got home from school. Here it is it is a small pot that has sunflowers planted inside. He told me that we would have to get a bigger pot to put them in when they get bigger. I assured him that it would have to be the flower bed not a pot. He has painted it at school with flowers on the outside just for me.
Thank you Miss.Koekman.

The day got better as it progressed, other's hadn't forgotten. We went to Church and they had beautiful carnations for all the kids to give to their Mom's. We got one from the kids and one from the church.
Thank you Trisha & Pastor Mark.

Also at Sunday school Dianne had the kids make a card and plant us a flower. Again they were beautiful and the kids, all the kids did a great job!
Thanks Dianne!

Then after church my good friend Ethel who decided to go with me this morning. Said that she had something for me after church. It was this beautiful pot of flowers for my front step. They are much more beautiful after they opened up. But none the less beautiful now since they were bought for me with love from my friend. I am so lucky to have such special friends in my love that share in everything I do.
Thank you Ethel & Ken!

After that I came home and settled into bed for sleep for the afternoon until I go to work tonight.Except to get up and make them all some supper. So for all you special people who carry that special title of a mother.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

Tyson was Dedicated Yesterday!!

This is my new favorite picture of Tyson!Except the dirty socks! You would have thought his mother would have put clean socks on him!! (OOOPs that's me) I forgot clean socks at home.
Yesterday we had Tyson dedicated (baptised) at my Parents home. We had a beautiful day. We stepped outside for the actual dedication but quickly came inside to eat.
There was tons of food and we all had a great time visiting together. Tyson was good and even went to Pastor Mark.
As I have mentioned before Scott & Colleen are his godparents. We love them to death and I am very glad that they accepted that role. For both the kids. They adore them.
They got Tyson this little train as a gift. I love it!

The engine has his name on the top back, engraved and the car has two compartments. First one says "first tooth" Second one says "first curl". I think we will have a hard time trying to find one to put in it! NOT!!

Cute eh??

This is the silverware set my parents gave Tyson. it has his initials on it. My parents are great and I love em!
Thanks MOM & DAD for letting us do it at your house since ours is well kinda in transition!

Out to Montana's

Well we went to church this morning and Mom and I had already talked about taking the boys to Montana's so that Dalton could use another free meal ticket for reading. So after church ( that got out really early because pastor Mark was sick) we headed to Montana's and Nanny headed home to get Poppa. We had tons of fun! Poppa and Tyson were playing a game of I drop it you pick it up...

Dalton and Nanny played a game or 20 of tick tack toe on the table. I think that Nanny was winning! Although Dalton I don't think would admit it!

Dalton had chicken fingers this time, Nan had a really nice salad. Poppa tried the Shepherd's pie and I played it safe and had a clubhouse. Everything was really good.

We had a great time together and then we headed home to put Tyson to bed for a nap! Keep the reading up Dalton!
