So today was the beginning of the no diaper days. We'll start off slow but we'll continue to make progress. Dalton wasn't totally trained until he was 2 1/2 so I figure we still have a while he is only 21 months. We started because he is coming into the bathroom trying to take his diaper off and saying "pee, pee" so we kinda though maybe it was time to start.
This picture is kinda funny because he is pointing at the pee that he had done in the potty.
Apparently, looking at it wasn't enough we had to see what it felt like! "YUK". This is when Mommy put the camera down!Anyone who would have seen Dalton and I in the house this morning would have thought that we slipped a kog or something. After Tyson went pee we were dancing around shaking the Reese's pieces box singing "Tyson went pee, pee on the potty" over and over. He sat there listing to us clapping his hands.Loonie or proud family I dunno.....Hmmmm...Darin says "it's just the Bunnett coming out in us"
So this morning I go up with Darin as I do everyday and got him off to work but instead of going back to bed I got busy and made up some banana bread before going to Mom's after Dalton goes to school to bake the rest of the goodies. This banana bread was one for our house but as you can see by the time supper came it was almost gone and it was the three boys that had devoured it!
So today we made 8 dozen butter tarts, about 15 pies shells and out of that 11 were pies, and 12 banana breads. The church got for their sale, 2 dozen tarts, 6 small pies, and 6 banana bread. Aunt Ruth got a lemon meringue pie, and a banana bread. Mom & I each got a banana bread and 2 1/2 dozen tarts and an apple pie. Jesse my nephew got a small lemon pie. Dad got a small apple pie and and a big lemon pie. I would have posted more pictures but I didn't want to make everyone hungry. Mom and I always find it funny that nobody likes the baked goods around but they never seem to last very long. The neighbours come and steal the tarts, at mom's there seems to be this mysterious little fairy that eats it all. So I dunno I guess we aren't too bad a cooks.I guess by our pictures you can tell that we at least like our own cooking. Darin I might mention was a lot skinnier when I met him!
So I haven't had any comments on the new summer look. I was loving the wonderful pool theme...hmmm maybe I just like summer more than everyone else??
Dalton asked me to use Nan's favorite colour to tell you what happened tonight. On Monday night's Poppa goes golfing. So Nan decided that she was going to surprise Dalton after karate.Dalton went home with Terry & Steph for a bit after karate. He didn't know who was getting him from there of what was going to happen afterwards. He was surprised to see nan. Even more surprised when she took the boys out to Montana's for supper. They had a great time and then came home and got all ready for bed before Daddy got home from work.Dalton said he had a great time with "Just Nan". He misses time with Nanny & Poppa since he doesn't go there for babysitting anymore. He is looking forward to the summer and going to their trailer.Dalton said he had a great "DATE" with Nan!Thanks Nanny!!!We love you!!
SO... today was the day that the kittens started to go. They were 6 weeks old today and they were ready. They have all been using the litter and eating the kitten chow so we let them go.Momma kitty was in a snit the rest of the day. The two white ones went to the same home. One was the runt of the litter. Cutie but skinny. They went to our neighbours Mom.
These kittens went to our next door neighbour. They took two as well. So we have two left for now. I think that we are keeping one but we'll see. this is Mandy the kitten's owner. The kids are 4 + 1 that are getting them. Tanner and Tessa are so excited.
We'll miss them but I am sure that we will see them all again. Just hopefully not too soon!!Good luck in your new homes kitties!
Dalton was wanting to ride his bike on Saturday morning. He was getting bored of just riding in front of the house and kinda inched a little farther than he was suppose to. But then came back and asked Dad how far he was allowed to go. First off Mommy kinda reminded him he needed on his helmet before he went anywhere. Then he did and asked again how far he could go. We live on a generally busy road. Not a highway but busy none the less. The only main street in our town.
So Daddy gave him the lines of a quick return or no bike and away he went just as proud as he could be all by himself riding. I laughed Darin said as he watched him..." My baby boy is growing up". Brought a little tear to my eye. Considering this was the man that never wanted any kids. but you couldn't fight them away from him now!!He did a great job riding and made Mom & Dad proud by following the rules!GREAT JOB DALTON!
Well tonight was Literacy night at Dalton's school. His school has the best reading curriculum of all the schools in Hastings county. I found out tonight that Dalton ready doesn't like to read he just does it for me. He does it quite well too I might add.Anyway, I was working tonight and I couldn't go with him. So Angela stayed at the house with Tyson and Nanny & Poppa came out to go to Literacy night with Dalton. All while Mom & Dad were at work. Nanny was looking forward to it and so was Dalton. All excited this morning and had to call Nan so she wouldn't forget all about it! Nan would never but anyway....Apparently they were asking why the kids like to read and Dalton said " I don't like to read I just do it because my Mom thinks I do, don't tell her" or something like that. Kids ya never know what they are going to say. So I laughed. They made a book, ate cookies, played in the computer room, made a bookmark ( which Dalton made for Nanny) and had some door prizes. Dalton won the last one. $ 10.00 at a book store, as you can imagine from the last comment, the last thing he wants to buy is a book!!Thanks to everyone for making the kids night...NANNY, POPPA, and Aunite Angeno.... We love you!
Well the party went off without a hitch. Many of them had big heads in the morning. NOT ME!! Ha, Ha. Darin came in sometime around 3am. He wasn't inebriated. But he wasn't sober either.
Anyway we decided that tonight we would take the kids to the drive in. Us too. We got ready and had some supper and headed to Picton. We had a good time. It was darn cold though. Once we went over the Bay Bridge ohhh the temperature sure changed. The wind picked up. One good thing about though there was no mosquitoes. We saw lots of people that we knew it was apparently a good idea.It was an all niter first one of the year. And you know what it was packed. They had no room for anymore people and actually had to turn people away. We saw Spiderman 3. It was good but wasn't really what I expected. Second movie was Are We Done Yet? It was very cute but it was sort of a remake of the money pit. And Ghost rider was next. I sorta kinda rested through that. Not my kind of movies. The kids both made it through Spiderman and Dalton made it 1/2 was through the second one. neither through the third. The next movies was Premonition. I wanted to see it but I couldn't possibly make it through it. So we headed home instead. I had to work at noon the next day and it was already 4am. Tyson was up at 7:30am ugggg I was glad to get home to bed that night.Hopefully they play great movies like this all summer!!next time I will try to remember to bring my camera. The kids had a great time in the park, even though it was chilly!
Well it was safe to say by the pictures that Tracy loved the cake. I told her that it was something that she always wanted in the box. And since she was now 40 I thought that she should have it. As you can see she thought it was as funny as I did.
She was asking everybody if they wanted to "taste" her boobs. And our friend Renee actually did! She enjoyed the joke as much as I did!
Happy birthday Tracy I am glad you had a great birthday!
Well as you can see the page and header look a bit different. This is in anticipation of summer! We cannot wait to get in the pool we love our pool. It's still a little cool but maybe in the next couple of days or weeks with this weather we will be in it!!The header was a creation of Coleen a blogger friend who designed it for me a while ago but I just figured out how to change it. Coleen has been having lots go on in her life right now but I'm sure she will be back bloging in no time and I can Thank her! Hope you all like it as much as I do!Thanks Coleen!
Baby crocks!! I was out today and I found Tyson his own pair of baby Crocks! He walked around all day watching his feet and falling in his face. He liked them. He takes them off after a while and hands it back to you to put back on him!
We thought that he was very fashionable in his new shoes. Daltonthought that he was very cool. Like his big brother of course!
Tyson is sitting on the floor playing or tormenting the kittens. They are at the point now where they are trying to climb out of the bin and they need to run and stretch so that they are strong enough to move away in a couple of weeks. We managed to find them all home but one! ONE! Anyone interested let me know. We are keeping the little tan one that is on the bin in the corner. I have liked him from the moment I saw him...just don't tell anyone! Tyson looks so devious in this picture I have to laugh. I was at work when Daddy took these. I just thought they were so darn cute!
The cat that we have left is a male and he is black and white striped. Again very cute. Someone Darin's sister knows might take him I guess. I will have to email her. He is the one that is ready to pounce out of the bin on Tyson in this picture.
Well, I took Tyson to the Dr again today and he still has an ear infection. This is the same one since Easter. So now we are on a super antibiotic zithromiacin that is only for 5 days and he will go see the specialist on June 1st. Where he is experiencing the infection is in a place that even tubes won't help so I don't know what they will do with him.His mood is so different when he is sick. he is busy still but not as busy, not as curious, not as happy, not as easy to get along with and doesn't sleep all night so I will certainly be happy when it is gone. Tyson is much better to get along with when he is feeling better!Sleep will be nice...
Today we were outside the better part of the day playing. Daddy cut the grass, whenever the boys are outside and Dad does this, they know it is time to ride!!They both love to ride the John Deer tractor. I hope that they continue to love it when thay are old enough to cut the grass! They drive around the yard with the blades not running for hours if you let them!! Tyson even goes and sits on it when we are outside just to sit on it and pretend he is driving it.
It was after they had bounced around on the trampoline, played in the sprinkler, the sandbox and the tree house! After that they figured it was time for some chow!
I am glad that the nice weather is finally here. The pool is open but a bit shilly yet to swim. 64*. It needs to warm up yet for this gal to be in it!!!
