All things soccor!

The day has finally come. The day that Tyson can start to play soccer. He has been waiting to do some sort of activity that involved and organised sport. I am sure it has been because he watches his big brother go to basketball all the time and karate so he was just waiting for his turn.

I am so glad that my children want to be so active. when I was a kid we played outside, rode bikes and all that kinda stuff but kids now a days want to be tied to a video game, computer or television.

Don't get me wrong my kids love all that stuff too, but I am glad that they also enjoy to do all the other things. Tyson would be outside all the time if he could. So here are a few pics of his first night at soccer. Dalton wasn't ugly even though he looks that way, he just forgot his hat and it was so bright and so hot!

Of course Auntie Ethel was there to support him in everything they do!! Thanks Auntie Ethel for the timbits and for just loving us unconditionally! We LOVE you!

Tonight he managed to get a goal and a SHINER! First ever for both. We don't know how but it must have been from an elbow, shoe or a soccor ball. At one point he thought he'd do a David Beckham but yeah....not so much!

Here he is sporting his shiner, a dirty face and the new short hair!

Great Job Ty Ty, we love you!

Off to Sharbot lake

Traditionally we go to Sharbot Lake to Terry and Stephanie Goodfellows cottage on the long weekend in August. This year being the same we had nothing to keep us home to do. and why stop doing the things that we normally do.
Through this entire process we have tried to keep the kids lives as normal as possible. We no longer know what normal is though.
Regardless they had a great time. As always. Darin thought he would try to hook the tube up to his boat and try out the motor.
It appeared to have enough power to pull Dalton so Dalton was bugging him all weekend to take him out. So they spent some time doing that. Most of the time, as always though the kids were in the water. The weather has been so screwy this year that I didn't find the lake to be as warm as it has been in the past.
Tyson loves Terry and Steph. He has a great time back there. He plays on their ginormous deck and loves the lake. The bigger boys are allowed to play around the dock and near it with no grown ups but they must wear life jackets and of course we can see them from the deck. But Tyson thought he should be out there too. Too small for that yet. So he was a little disappointed!
This is where Tyson spend most of his time right around these rocks swimming and moving the sand. He found a leech which he didn't like too much but we got it before it managed to totally freak him out.
He just played and would stay there all day if we left him. He loved it! Can you tell?
Dalton doing his usual pose for the camera.
On Sunday a friend of Terry and Darin came back with his tractor to remove some large stones out from under the cottage for them. He brought his tractor. Yes, I said tractor! You can imagine Tyson's excitement. See how happy he was!! But he did notice it wasn't a john deer but played on it all the same!
Thanks for the great weekend as always Goodfellows!!

The floor and a good movie...

Told ya it wouldn't take long. Ian and the boys had the floor done today before they left. I was thrilled to see it when we got home.Where were we you ask??
I took Dalton to see Wall E . It was very cute and I liked it very much. Dalton thought it was great. I thought it was almost scary on how technology is changing the world that this movie could one day almost be true.
Otherwise it was very entertaining and I loved Wall E!
Tyson is at Nanny & Poppa's trailer for the next couple of days because we are going to try to go to the water slides tomorrow. Tyson said he is going on his vacation. If the weather hold off. I am so sick of this summer and the rain!

Monster Truck Madness!!!

Tonight we took the kids to the monster trucks at the KRock centre in Kingston. Tyson has never been and Dalton has seen them about 6 times I guess. It is something he loves to watch. We went with Mike and Tina and Jocelyn and their nephew. It was a good time.
This is Jocelyn. She loves my kids. Tyson was freaked out at first but got better as the night went on.
Can you tell it is about 945pm?? And he is getting tired??

This was the beginning before they had started the trucks and he was just watching thinking they were all cool!
My kids liked the 4 wheeler racing. Dalton liked the dirt bike jumping that used to do in the middle better than this. Maybe next time I have to say it wasn't the greatest just watching them drive around in circles.
Dalton loved Bigfoot and he won all the challenges for the night.
This was the pit party at the beginning before the show started. We got a few pictures. Dalton liked the transformer car show in the middle of the challenges. It was neat.
Hey Mike..... I am from the turd Galaxy..my little french buddy!

The......John Deere TRACTOR!!

Well I have to use John Deere tracor green for this post.

Since we didn't spend very much on Tyson for Christmas and we knew he needed a new bike for Easter we decided to wait. I was into Walmart in Febuary, they had this little tractor and trailer on sale. It was normally $249.00 and it was on sale as old stock for $100.00. And since Tyson is tractor crazy and I mean CRAZY! We decided to get it for him. It has a trailer like I said and it is a bike. It has pettles and a chain. He loves it. He sat on it and wouldn't get off to watch TV. To eat or anything. He sat on it. For three full days. He loves it!

the hunt!!

Well today is Easter Sunday. Happy Easter sunday. My boys got up this morning promptly at 7:00am ready to start their hunt. After yesterday, Tyson is already and knows what to do. Away they went buckets in tow ready for hunt number two to begin! Like they needed more chocolate!
They looked high they looked low and about 2 hours after the hunt, Tyson was still turning up eggs from somewhere that he had found them. They had a great time. Tyson got his tractor (will post pictures for that next) for Easter and Dalton got a video game for his wii. Ben 10. Each a big bunny and eggs!
Tyson was eating them we had to watch with the tin foil on!! YUK!!

What Dalton missed low Tyson found and what Tyson couldn't see above Dalton helped out!
We had a great Easter day. After breakfast together, the boys and I went to church. Then to Mom & Dad's for the final Easter hunt of the day. Gifts from Aunty Tracey and Uncle Ed. More easter eggs! And lunch.
After that it was home to pick up Dad and then to Napanee for Grandma's Easter dinner. It was a long day and the kids literally fell into bed at 8pm.
I hope you all had a great Easter day and celebrated what was important to you.
As Paster Mark said...it was only good Friday.... but Sunday was a comin'
Happy Easter.

P.A. Day already!!

Hard to believe that the kids have a PA day already. They just went back to school a few weeks ago. Am I seeing something wrong with this picture? So we decided to meet nanny and Poppa and Jesse at the pirate ship park so the kids could play. It was busy. The kids had a great time and wore themselves out running around. they wanted me to take a few pictures of them being silly. Doing what they do best so..... here they are.....

Tyson has more and more fun every time we go there. As he gets older he finds out more about how things work. This time it was the whale on a spring. He thought that was the greatest thing ever once he figured out how to rock himself back and forth. He has the baby one at home that plays music. So he though this one was great!

Tyson's first ride in the dump truck

Today was a weird day, I didn't have a babysitter and we had a staff meeting that wasn't scheduled all that long ago. So Tyson had to go to work with Dady for a couple of runs. About and hour or so. He had a great time he though going in the dump truck was the greatest thing ever!
He sat right up there. I though that he weould have a nap because he was tired but Darin said he was bright eyed and bushy tailed the entire time. He was so curious Darin said and happy to see the loaders which to him were "tractors", and squeeled in delight when they loaded them up. They were delivering to the air base and then Ty saw the air bus then all he said was "plane".
All his favorite things in one day how will we ever top that????

John's last day

Today was Johnathan's last day to be with the kids. He had a great summer here and we had a great time too. So today to make things special we went to Kingston to the mini golf/ go cart/ movie/ amusement ride park. Then to Chucky Cheese. The boy's all of them had a great time. First they rode on the go carts. Their package included 6 laps but it wasn't busy so they both got 8.
Johnathan was big enough he got to ride alone.
But Dalton had to ride with me while John stayed with Tyson. He was laughing the whole time watching us kids play. He unfortunately wasn't big enough yet.
Then they decides to go to the amusement rides. They rode so long on most of them that they got sick of it. Ever heard of such a thing? The rides lasted at least five minutes each. They got eight rides a piece.
They went on the scrambler twice, the big slide once, the spider 3 times, and the tilt a whirl twice. The spider was their favorite.
Dalton liked the big slide. He always does. Tyson would have liked that one too but we went and played in the water park instead while the boys went on the rides.
After the rides, they went to play their game of mini gold. that too came in their package. All for $20.00 each, I didn't think that that was bad at all. And they had tons of fun for the day.
Then by that time they were all starving! Or at least whining about it. So we headed over to Chucky Cheese. They choose a peperoni pizza and played a bunch of games. We got home about 5pm so I think it was a good last day.
We only had one problem all day.....

Chucky the mouse came in our row. Just our row and this was what happened!

Tyson absolutely freaked out. He hated that big Ol' mouse! So he didn't come anywhere near him after that, and trust me Tyson watched everywhere he went! The kids had fun though and we had a great summer. Thanks John!

Woo Hoo back to school Tuesday!

Ty just jammin'

Dalton is always leaving his Mp3 player out and Tyson is always happy to find it for him. Well today, it was on the counter and Tyson was happily listening to it before anybody found him with it! Standing there dancing on the chair, singing away, just like he was in his right mind!
Look at his face after I caught him at it! How can you be mad at a face like that??
Then I get sorry Mom.

Tyson's 2nd birthday!!

I'm typing this post in green because Tyson has been tractor crazy for a couple of months now. Doesn't help that we live beside a coop and they go by a hundred times a day!
So his second birthday was here and I decided to make him a couple of cakes, as always. We had the normal birthday crowd and BBQ. Everybody seemed to have a good time, I however found out later maybe that wasn't the case. But you know what it doesn't matter I had fun, Tyson had tons of fun and if you don't like the way things are done then stay home. Not a good attitude I know but I don't care. Not to mention apparently I am suppose to have mind reading skills I didn't know about. Oh well water under the bridge. I have learned though keep your darn mouth shut about anything because anything can be changed to suit someone else's purpose, hurt people feelings, stress relationships, and cause a rift that can never be totally repaired! So I'm not sure what will happen with Dalton's party yet but I think it may just be the kids and that's it. We'll see.
Anyway, enough babbling. I made him a hay field with a tractor on it, and a train station that actually worked. He loved them.
I'll post some pictures of the party when I get them. Angie took tons of them but she didn't load them on my computer and the girl is never home to get them. And if she emailed them too me, because I have dial up it would take days to load them all! So once I can track the girl down I will post some!

Father's Day!!

Today was father's day. Dalton made his dad a present at school this week. A pencil holder. He had to give it to him Friday night because he was so excited about it. Cute eh?

At the grocery store he picked up Daddy some Pringles too. Daddy love Pringles and so does Dalton. So I sort of figured it was for both of them. he gave him those on Saturday. So instead of a father's day it turned out to be a fathers " weekend".

Tyson wanted to be a part of it too. These were from Sunday morning. Yup there was still something left to give him then. Dalton had gotten him some armour all wipes tor his truck. Tyson got to give him the card.

These were the wipes. Who is happier Dalton or Daddy. So this was Father's day at our house.
This is my favorite picture of the entire day.
Then we went out to Ten acre for breakfast. Later on in the day we also went over to Scott and Colleen's so Dalton and Tyson could give Scott his present. He got his some golf tees with his name on them and a scratch ticket.
