Tyson's 2nd birthday!!

I'm typing this post in green because Tyson has been tractor crazy for a couple of months now. Doesn't help that we live beside a coop and they go by a hundred times a day!
So his second birthday was here and I decided to make him a couple of cakes, as always. We had the normal birthday crowd and BBQ. Everybody seemed to have a good time, I however found out later maybe that wasn't the case. But you know what it doesn't matter I had fun, Tyson had tons of fun and if you don't like the way things are done then stay home. Not a good attitude I know but I don't care. Not to mention apparently I am suppose to have mind reading skills I didn't know about. Oh well water under the bridge. I have learned though keep your darn mouth shut about anything because anything can be changed to suit someone else's purpose, hurt people feelings, stress relationships, and cause a rift that can never be totally repaired! So I'm not sure what will happen with Dalton's party yet but I think it may just be the kids and that's it. We'll see.
Anyway, enough babbling. I made him a hay field with a tractor on it, and a train station that actually worked. He loved them.
I'll post some pictures of the party when I get them. Angie took tons of them but she didn't load them on my computer and the girl is never home to get them. And if she emailed them too me, because I have dial up it would take days to load them all! So once I can track the girl down I will post some!

Riverfest

Well this weekend is Victoria day and they always have river fest in Frankford which is a little village not too far from us. Takes about 10 minutes at most to get there. Anyway we generally go on Saturday night because they have great fireworks. Better than almost any I have seen. they lasted about 20 minutes so you know it was a good show.
Darin's mom came down and went for a four wheeler ride and then to the neighbours and off to Frankford too. By the way thanks for weeding and planting the flowers in my flowerbed !!
Dalton likes to go because it has rides too. anyway after we went over to Tracy & Kevin's for supper and a visit for her birthday, ( cake pictures are next post) we headed out to Frankford.

Tyson was watching all the things going on and didn't seem much interested in the rides unless Dalton was on one, but you couldn't get him to go on one.

The tickets were very expensive this year. It was 25.00 for 20 tickets and each ride was 3 tickets. I found that a little steep. Regardless the kids had fun.

A goofy face for Mom... what a kid.. rides and more rides. Even grandma went on a few with him.

Can't see them too well but here were one of the fireworks. They were so pretty.

During the fireworks we ran into one of Dalton's friends from school Thomas. His family is living in a trailer right now because they had a fire in their home. The school has done lots to help them so they are doing OK for now.
Anyway Dalton was glad to see him and the last ride of the night was the Ferris wheel. They had a ton of fun because they could see the entire park from up there.
We went back home and Darin went back over to the neighbours because the party was still going!
Happy Victoria Day!!

Cake...Cake...Cake...

My friend and neighbour Tracy is turning 40 today! Happy birthday Trac! Her husband Kevin asked me if I would make her a cake. So I did. I told him to say to her don't ever say I never got you flowers for your birthday because the cake was covered in them. I thought that it turned out ok.....

This is what the sides each looked like they too were covered in flowers. She really liked it. It only took 3 hours to decorate!! It was worth it though for her. She does whatever she can to help you if you need it.

I was being a smart --- and made her a gag cake too. This picture may not be suitable for everyone and may be offensive to some but keep in mind it was a gag cake.
We both have pools in our backyard and Tracy is always saying how she wishes that she could fill out he bathing suit just a bit better. So me being the fun joking person that I am ( like my Dad) I made her a cake and put it in a box for her to open. Kevin though it was hilarious when he came over to get the other one. I figured the way that the kids were trying to stick their fingers in it it might be safer at their house!

So until later today when I give it too her it will be hidden from any eyes to be seen but yours and I know she is too busy to check the web page because she has a house full of company. I hopes she gets a laugh out of it!!
Happy 40th Tracy!
