Happy 37th Birthday to Me! OR NOT!

I had to work today and it just seemed that if anything could go wrong today there it would. Everyone seemed to be just in a grumpy mood. I wasn't but by the time it was time to come home I was. The people were just not cooperating. i have been on holidays and wasn't keen on returning to work, but after about and hour I was wishing I hadn't.
Other than that my birthday was OK. one of my closest friends just sent me a face book message which was really GREAT! Note my sarcasm. I believe in technology but it is nice to hear a voice on a special day like your birthday.
Regardless, I got presents and money and my kids had lots of kisses for me.
After all what more could I ask for??

Karen's birthday breakfast!

Today we went out for Breakfast to Cora's. It was Karen's birthday breakfast. We had a good time, girls only. Except Tyson. Dalton went to the trailer with Mom after Tyson's party for the rest of the weekend and daddy is sleeping while we went. The girls were happy to see him anyway. Karen's actually birthday is Tuesday I think.

We had too much to eat but it is always good there. Here is my little man behaving, for a sec. He was good and ate well. And played at the table with his tractors. Karen will probably kill me for posting this but well, wouldn't be the first time she wanted to do that I'm sure. That's what being friends is all about!
This is Karen in the burgundy shirt. She is the kindest person I think I know. She is great at her job and has a great heart with her friends. She doesn't mix words if she has a problem with you, if you have made her mad, or if she doesn't like you. She is good at praising people who deserve it and is genuinely a great person. I am glad she is my friend.
I think they all went to Bloomfield after breakfast but I had to work. So I didn't. A picture of Ethel, talking like always. Gotta love her. I do. I have a great bunch of friends. You know, I have a happy family, a great bunch of friends, I may not have a lot of money, but My life is full! Therefore I am rich.

Grandma's birthday!

The last birthday of the month. Grandma Martin's.
Dalton made her a cake today. It was chocolate with strawberry jam in the middle, on the top. With strawberries and whip cream on the top. It was much prettier before I took the picture. It was a hot day and it started to melt! He did a great job though and I was quite proud of him. It was really good too!
We got invited for supper too. I can't remember what she called it but it was good. It had chicken, baby mushrooms and onions and was in a delicious gravy. Darin's mom is such a good cook. I don't think I have ever had anything bad at her house. (Except cottage roll) but I hate that regardless and up until A couple of years ago I ate it anyway until Darin told her.

We finally figured out what to do with Tyson. Dalton put him on the leash at Grandma's and Tyson loved it he was treating it like a bungee cord. He would run to the end of it until it knocked him down and then laugh his head off. Is that considered abuse? He was laughing his head off! We couldn't stop laughing at him laughing! He still didn't manage to wear himself out though.
One final birthday wish and a kiss for Granny!

Happy Birthday Mom! Thanks for supper! It was yummy!

Check Up!! MORE BIRTHDAYS.....

Today Tyson had to go back to Dr. Brown for his check up. (Tubes) Hard to believe it has been 8 weeks already. So while we wasted some time waiting for him Tyson had a little ride on the "Big Brute" He didn't like it much when it was moving but though it was pretty cool to sit in! Kids!

Today is also his godfather's birthday. So after his appointment we walked over. It isn't far from the Dr's office. Darin was off today so, he and Dalton dropped Ty and I off and they went over a head of us. We weren't too far behind them. The boys got Scotty some non-alcohol beer. Wanna be beer we call it. he can't have the real stuff because of medication. He likes the wanna be stuff though.
So the kids wished his love and kisses and we were on our way for the rest of the day.

Happy birthday Scotty!! Kisses!

My Birthday!!

Well today is my birthday. It's almost over now..
Angie & Ethel took me out for lunch, we went to East Side Mario's.
We all had a delightful sandwich and soup combo and some desert. Yup I blew my "eating sensible" I shared a peanut butter and chocolate layer cake slice with Ethel!
Angie got me a gift certificate, and a scratch ticket. Ethel paid for my lunch and got me a really cool box of various cards. From others I got, money from my parents and grandparents, gift card from my brother and his family. My Godparents gave me some timmies gift certificates, Scott & Collen gave me a nice shirt from Northern.
I had a great day even though after lunch I had to go to work! That's OK though I start holidays next week! Ethel and I both thought about taking pictures after lunch!! Duhhhhhh.
THANKS FOR A GREAT AFTERNOON GIRLS! I LOOK FORWARD TO THE BEACH IN A COUPLE WEEKS!

Birthday supper & etest...

Well with my birthday just a few short days away, Darin got busy checking out my van for final emissions testing today. So we got up this morning and headed to the garage to get it done. in Ontario as some of you know we have to have this test done to make sure your vehicle isn't making too many emissions in the air. Anyhow, mine failed!! I was so upset. come to find out all it needed was an oxygen sensor. We thought maybe it had been going for a while. But didn't know for sure. Anyway almost 200.00 later after the tests and plates and sensor, I can drive my van!
Tyson didn't care he was happy playing with the toys at the garage..

Tonight we had Terry & Steph up for supper, they are our friends that live down the street. We enjoyed BBQ beef ribs, and beef roast. Roasted potatoes, homemade bread, cauliflower & broccoli with cheese sauce and here goes my exercising... chocolate cake and ice cream. Since I work on Friday for my birthday I though we would have cake tonight. All of supper was great if I can say so myself.
Dalton commented that I always make everybody else's cake why didn't I make my own. I told him that if I had to make my own cake it would ruin the fun of it. I must say, the cake was good too. I was good though only had a small piece!

As you can see from Tyson, he enjoyed wearing it almost as much as we did eating it! If you didn't know better, you would have though it was his birthday!

So Happy Birthday to me. On Friday Angie & Ethel are taking me out for lunch before I go to work. I cannot wait! I love my special friends. I am looking forward to spending time with them!

Ms. Koekman's Birthday !

Today was Dalton's teacher's 37th birthday. He got up early this morning and made her a chocolate cake, her favorite. He was so proud of himself he only needed a little help with the frosting.
I went to high school with Julie ( his teacher) so it seems so ironic that she is now teaching my soon. Weird actually.
It is funny how life comes full circle.

Keauden's 1st birthday cakes!!

Keauden is Tracy's grandson, Doug's great grandson. My neighbour.

He was one on the 31st of May but they had his party this weekend so everyone could come. And of course they had me make his cakes.

For those of you who don't know, these are the backyardigans. He is very fond of them I guess. So that is what Grammy had me put on his cake.

This was his cake to eat himself. He only played and ate the icing he didn't even touch the cake or make a mess. He just wanted the sweet stuff!!

Yup still sick, managed to make the taco dip and go to the party but didn't do much else but be sick again, and freeze to death on the couch all night long.
OH it isn't fair being sick on your holidays!!

Not for Kiddies....

Well it was safe to say by the pictures that Tracy loved the cake. I told her that it was something that she always wanted in the box. And since she was now 40 I thought that she should have it. As you can see she thought it was as funny as I did.

She was asking everybody if they wanted to "taste" her boobs. And our friend Renee actually did! She enjoyed the joke as much as I did!

Happy birthday Tracy I am glad you had a great birthday!

Cake...Cake...Cake...

My friend and neighbour Tracy is turning 40 today! Happy birthday Trac! Her husband Kevin asked me if I would make her a cake. So I did. I told him to say to her don't ever say I never got you flowers for your birthday because the cake was covered in them. I thought that it turned out ok.....

This is what the sides each looked like they too were covered in flowers. She really liked it. It only took 3 hours to decorate!! It was worth it though for her. She does whatever she can to help you if you need it.

I was being a smart --- and made her a gag cake too. This picture may not be suitable for everyone and may be offensive to some but keep in mind it was a gag cake.
We both have pools in our backyard and Tracy is always saying how she wishes that she could fill out he bathing suit just a bit better. So me being the fun joking person that I am ( like my Dad) I made her a cake and put it in a box for her to open. Kevin though it was hilarious when he came over to get the other one. I figured the way that the kids were trying to stick their fingers in it it might be safer at their house!

So until later today when I give it too her it will be hidden from any eyes to be seen but yours and I know she is too busy to check the web page because she has a house full of company. I hopes she gets a laugh out of it!!
Happy 40th Tracy!

We went Toboggoning!

Sunday morning I got home from work and Dalton was eager to get to church to get the day started. Me tired not so much! The sacrifices I make for my kids! Anyway, I took him to Sunday school and then we did some running around. Then up to Mom's for a quick computer repair, get all our warm clothes! And away we went! Where you say? 401 hill toboggoning!

Tyson wasn't so sure about the going down the hill part but he absolutely loved watching Dalton coming down the hill. And all the other kids! He just was amazed. We had a great time and Dalton hated to leave. The hill has a ramp about half way down and no fear Dalton, had to try it on his racer. He went down the first time a little scared but excited and then once he got to the bottom he said............

"Mom... THAT ROCKED!" and "WHAT A SWEET RIDE"

After that he didn't want to go down just the hill he had to go down the ramp every time! We all had a great time. Darin even had fun watching the kids and listening to Dalton in his excitement.

Scott and Colleen came over Sunday night for supper and we had a good visit! The boys sure love them. They were excited to see them. Dalton even conned them into helping him with his eye spy book that he borrowed from the library.

Darin had to go to the Doctors for his nose and his stomach both on his birthday (that sucks) and so Tyson went to visit Scott & Colleen. They like to take him once in a while just for time with just him! Darin made out well and everything looks good but he has another four weeks off. We had a really nice supper with them and then home for Prison break. ( I love that show).

Then back to work again...... so much to do and so little time to get it all done!
