So after soccer, we headed over to Scott and Colleen's house. The boys had gotten Scotty a chrome licence plate cover for his motorcycle for father's day. It just arrived yesterday so they wanted to take it over. They weren't home so we were in the neighbourhood of some of my kids other favorite people and Dalton hadn't seen them to give them his big news.
We stopped over at Nicole and Mike's house. They are both teachers. Dalton was at their door knocking and Mike seemed surprised to see him but happy. So we went in and visited for a while. Dalton gave them his news of passing, who would be his teacher next year ( not Nicole's mom :( who is a teacher at his school) and how he brought his math mark back up to an A. They were thrilled. He whined a bit because I bought him a comprehension book to work on over the summer and that kinda backfired, forgetting they are both teachers and they said good for your mom. Yeah, he wasn't happy.
Nicole gave Tyson the hose, yea that was fun for 20 minutes till he turned on us! Then ya, not so much. Mike got some good belly giggles out of him. We had a good visit but we had to run. We love them so much and am glad that we can still be a part of their lives and them ours even though they have moved away from our school and teaching our kids. Hopefully Nicole will come back in time to teach Tyson. We are hoping and it might be a possibility so our fingers and toes are crossed.
So then we headed back to Scott's & Colleens. since they were both already wet from the hose, they jumped right in their pool. After a swim, some snuggles and some treats we were finally on our way back home. What a long day, water park, soccer, visit Nicole and mike, then swimming, and Scott & colleen. Just a great fun filled day all the way around.
Did I mention how much I love summer nights?
